About JM Conveyancing

We are Property Conveyancing Lawyers you can trust and Conveyancing is all we do

JM Conveyancing was born in 2022 and is dedicated to serving a wide range of clients across the UK.

Our small highly experienced team provides the full scope of residential conveyancing services to our clients, with a friendly, professional and personal touch that you just can’t get with many other high street brands.

We work hard and together so you can achieve your property goals…

We take a jargon-free, human approach to conveyancing, always making time to explain everything to our clients and going the extra mile whenever necessary to get the job done quickly and accurately.

We have a particular focus on compliance within our business, ensuring we are always up to date with changes in the law, best practice and procedures.
We’re here to take the stress away from buying and selling property, leaving you with the space you need to organise your move and enjoy the process as much as possible.

We offer a real and competitively priced alternative to Conveyancing Solicitors. Their high volume caseloads mean they often cannot update their clients, chase up queries or move matters forward.

Julie Mortimer

Julie heads up the team as our Managing Director, but runs a small residential and shared ownership caseload, with over 30 years experience in the business.

She’s worked for a number of high street solicitors, as well as the UK’s number one online conveyancing firm and has an excellent reputation within the industry. She always maintains good relationships with her peers, as well as the mortgage brokers and estate agents that she works with, helping to move through any issues and hold ups quickly.

Julie’s clients come back to her time and time again, knowing they will always get the best service. She has moved thousands and families and loves the role she plays in providing them with a happy, safe home.

We pride ourselves on sticking to manageable caseloads to offer the best possible service to all our clients at all times.

Diane Slater

Diane took a degree in Law in the mid-1990s then also passed the postgraduate Legal Practice Course, before spending a few years as a self-employed proofreader and copy editor for several legal publishers.

In 2004 she joined DWF as a trainee in the property department and qualified two years later as a Licensed Conveyancer, specialising in residential property. Since then she has worked in a number of firms, both large and small, holding more senior management positions in recent years, before taking the leap into self-employment again as a consultant licensed conveyancer in 2023.

She aims to understand her clients’ needs and situations and carries only a small caseload so that she can offer a more personal service.
Diane also works closely extremely closely with Jules Mortimer, and they share a common aim to give a first-class service to clients, agents and brokers alike.

Diane works on both freehold and leasehold houses, low-rise flats, registered or unregistered property and also has experience dealing with transfers of part and new-build homes.
